How to configure Schain Object Behavior in Universal Lists

 

The Schain Object Behavior feature allows you to define how your Supply Chain Object (schain) should be handled for specific domains or bundles.

You can now manage this configuration directly in Universal Lists.

 

Create a Universal List [with Schain object behavior value]

  1. Go to Tools → Global Lists → Universal Lists

  2. Click Create.

  3. Enter a name for the list (for example, Schain behavior by bundles).

  4. Under Keys, select:

                   - Domain or Bundle

        5. Under Values, select:

                  - Schain object behavior

                  - Schain ASI will be added automatically

        6. Click Create.


Add items to the list

Once the list is created:

  1. Open your list and click Add new item.

  2. Fill in the fields:

    • Domain or Bundle. Specify the domain or bundle name.

    • Schain object behavior. Select one of the available options:

      • 100 – Append to schain object (completed)

      • 101 – Append to schain object

      • 102 – Override schain object

    • Schain ASI. Enter the ASI value used in your schain object, for example: asitext.com

  3. Click Create.


Upload multiple items via CSV

 

 

You can also add multiple items at once by uploading a CSV file.

  1. Click Download CSV Template on the list page.

  2. Fill in the template with your data using the format:

 

  1. Save your CSV and click Upload from CSV to import it.

❗Use the exact names or the numeric codes for “Schain object behavior” in your CSV file: 

100 – Append to schain object (completed)

101 – Append to schain object

102 – Override schain object

Final result:


Attach the list to the campaign

To attach the list:

  1. Open campaign settings
  2. Proceed to Advanced settings Targeting
  3. Add Universal Lists to the interface using Add Targeting button
  4. Select the list from the dropdown
  5. Save the campaign

 


Manage and export list items

  • Use Lookup to find specific entries.

  • Click Export to download all list items as a CSV file.

  • Click the pencil icon under Actions to edit or delete an item.


Notes

  • The list can contain multiple rules per domain or bundle.

  • Each “Schain object behavior” value defines how the schain will be appended or overridden in the outbound request.

  • This list can be used in combination with other targeting or processing logic in your account. List has priority. First match wins.
